6 E0 h+ N. a/ mscholarship, last year is tax free. but i have not heared fellowship before. is that government grants? there is a tready between china and canada. HOWEVER,  there is still a rule saying if the tax on the income you earned is less than the tax you could be tax in canada. you should pay the canada government the difference. usually some people do not report the income in china to make things not complicated.
