早上起来看报纸发现我喜欢的Angelo's 面包店关得只剩下一家。我常去的那家(Wonder Sushi)对面也关了门,只剩下了一家在Thompson Rd上面。

The closing of the store on Wonderland Road N., near Oxford St., leaves only the original Thompson Rd. store open.

Another large store on Wonderland Rd. S. and a deli-style outlet at One London Place were shut down recently as the family-owned company ran afoul of creditors.( _+ `$ w, N- |
) u w1 L6 U% J- n9 jAt the Thompson Rd. store, the son and daughter of founders Adolfo and Theresa Ferraro said the company is still working its way through a 30-day restructuring plan with creditors and suppliers./ S* h" v: c4 h% H( t) I. C8 d

Pat Ferraro said he was unable to comment on whether the Thompson Rd. store, which dates back to the 1960s, would remain open.

“We are still in control. We are still making the decisions,” he said.

He said the company is trying to ensure it’ll be able to meet payroll for all employees as it works its way through the restructuring.

London developer Vito Frijia has expressed interest in buying Angelo’s and reviving the business and has met with National Bank, which holds most of the company’s debt. |
